Website of the Week: An Awesome Book

An Awesome Bookby Dallas Clayton

Based on the simple concept of dreaming big “An Awesome Book” is the inspiring debut work of Los Angeles writer/artist Dallas Clayton. Written in the vein of classic tales by Dr. Seuss, Shel Silverstein, and Maurice Sendak it is a sure hit for all generations young and old.

Featured Website: Book Page

Book PageI haven't featured a book site in a while, so when i ran across this one today I had to share it.  Book Page is a site that features book reviews, author interviews, book clobs, and more.  More importantly it features well written, thought out book reviews.  It  a site "Where readers discover their next great book" as the site proudly proclaims on it's header.

Zombie Fiction Overload, Part III

The Walking DeadI wanted to feature a few more novels before I ended the Zombie Fiction Overload series, partly because they've recently been added to my personal "wish list" and partly because I didn't feel as if the series was really complete until I had at least mentioned some of these.

The final article in the Zombie Fiction series.

What Should I Read Next?

What Should I Read Next? What Should I Read Next? is an interesting website I ran accross yesterday.  You type in the name and/or author of a book you enjoyed and it gives you a list of books that you might like to read next.  If you're stumped on what to read next, or you're just looking for more books to read that are similar to one that you really enjoyed this is a great way to find it.

Zombie Fiction Overload, Part II

HeadstoneThere's a wide varitey of websites on the interwebs devoted purely to Zombies, Zombie Hunters, Zombie Survivalists, and more I'm sure.  If we could visualize the virtual world into something more tangible, say a map, there would be an entire nation devoted tho those who are fascinated by Zombie culture.

Spotlight On: Noting: Books

Noting: BooksNoting: Books is a great organizational website, a way to congregate notes and thoughts on a particular book, and see what other's thought all in one place.  It's like the microblog for books...

Zombie Fiction Overload, Part I

Night of the Living Dead ZombieWe are currently experiencing a resurgance of Zombie-fiction.  Everything from movies to novels to comics have become inundated with reference to the Undead.  Just think back to the number of Zombie films being made, or remade, in the past 10 years...

Part one of a series of articles focusing on Zombie Fiction.

Featured Book Blog: Read Many Books

Read Many BooksAuthor of Read Many Books, Sherry Thompson, has been a high school librarian for 31 years.  She reads mainly young adult books (because she's a librarian at a high school) and reviews them for publishers. She reviews books for her students and posts them on her blog.  Check it out!

Spotlight on: LibriVox

LibriVox ScreenshotLibriVox volunteers record chapters of books in the public domain and release the audio files back onto the net. An awesome little website where you can listen to a myriad of books, chapters, and more literature in the public domain, all for free!
